22 July 2010 [11:55] - TODAY.AZ
By not returning the dead body of Azerbaijani serviceman, Armenia shows disrespect towards international organizations and certain laws and regulations in international humanitarian sphere, Chief of Foreign Relations Department of the Presidential Administration Novruz Mammadov told reporters.

"Unfortunately, the Armenians have shown their character and insidiousness here as well, thus they are ignoring international organizations and certain laws and regulations in international humanitarian sphere. But I think that with this step, they discredit themselves. Sooner or later, this issue should be resolved. Serious steps are taken and we continue to work with relevant structures in this regard," Mammadov said.

The department cief said international organizations must demonstrate even more serious and concrete position on this issue.

"Returning dead body of the Azerbaijani serviceman is part of the settlement of Armenian-Azerbaijani Nagorno-Karabakh problem. Throughout this process, the Armenians has behaved too self-confident. But the leadership of Armenia and the Armenian people should know that  they put the future of this country and this nation under a big question in this process. They can be sure hundred percent that they will not be able to achieve anything with this. Simply, the international organizations and community must take a more serious and concrete position on this question," Mammadov noted.

With regards to the Almaty meeting of foreign ministers, Mammadov said that desired result was not achieved at the meeting.

"But I think that the process has not stopped. Now the process is in such a way that all the circles of the international community, the co-chair countries, presidents and ministers take joint steps. Sooner or later the Armenian side will have to respond. The Armenian side frequently commits such actions in order to delay time, but the world community, the international community and co-chair countries should demand Armenia to take concrete steps. The Armenian side has not any choice but to respond the proposed Madrid principles," he added.
