A visa-free regime will be launched between Georgia and Iran in September, Iranian Ambassador to Georgia Madjid Samadzade Saber told the Georgian Maestro Television Company today.
He said the move will intensify Georgian-Iranian relations and promote the further rapprochement of the two peoples.
Saber also expressed hope for the normalization of Russian-Georgian relations.
"We dream of a time when relations between Russia and Georgia will improve and again become good and neighborly," he said.
He stressed that if Moscow and Tbilisi appeal to Iran for mediation, then "the issue will be reviewed."
