Azerbaijani journalists' knowledge in ecology to be improved

"Journalists' Ecology School" will open to improve knowledge and awareness of journalists in the field of environmental protection on August 3, the ministry spokeswoman Irada Ibrahimova told media.

"Classes at the school will be held an hour a week" Ibrahimova said. She said that graduates will be awarded with certificates after they graduate from the school.

Subjects as "Azerbaijani state policy in the sphere of ecology", "Environmental Monitoring", "Protection of biodiversity in Azerbaijan", "Environmental awareness" and others will be taught.

2010 was declared the Year of Ecology on the initiative of the Azerbaijani President.
