08 July 2010 [15:45] - TODAY.AZ
The US-based "STRATFOR" global analytical team has placed in its website a review on the results of visit of the US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton to the South Caucasus.

According to the "STRATFOR" analysts, the 2-day visit of the Secretary of State will promote peaceful settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict, regulate the ongoing processes in region and make ground to widen the Azerbaijan-USA relations.

Armenia is a weak country and cannot battle with Azerbaijan, the analysts confirm.

In a special section, “The importance of Azerbaijan”, the authors state that Armenia has occupied the Nagorno Karabakh region and other adjacent areas of Azerbaijan after the Soviet Union collapsed. According to them, return of the occupied territories under the UN Resolutions on Nagorno Karabakh is, from the national security and strategic viewpoints, is necessary for Azerbaijan. In the article, the Armenians are accused in committing genocide against Azerbaijanis. In the years of disintegration of USSR, the Armenians have unleashed war against

Azerbaijan.

Armenia has ousted hundred of thousands ethnic Azerbaijanis from the Western Azerbaijan, from Nagorno Karabakh. Azerbaijan is now facing the problem of refugees and IDPs. And as stated, the conflict was frozen after the United Nations Security Council condemned the aggression.

As a whole, the world news agencies consider the visit of US Secretary of State to the region as successful for Azerbaijan.
