"Greece supports Azerbaijan's territorial integrity"

Antoniu said Greece was interested in cooperation with Azerbaijan in particular in the fields of tourism, alternative energy resources, health, education, agriculture and construction.

She praised previous reciprocal trips by top officials, saying “it makes huge contribution to boosting the bilateral relations”.

Antoniu stressed the importance of the South Caucasus region for her country. She reiterated Greece`s position on so-called parliamentary elections held in Nagorno-Karabakh by the separatist regime, saying her country considers them “illegal”.

“Greece supports Azerbaijan's territorial integrity and sovereignty,” she underlined.
Antoniu said official Athens backs peaceful resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
