Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-speaking Countries (TurkPA) Ramil Hasanov has attended the 8th conference of South-East European countries in Antalya.
The conference, presided by chairman of Turkish Grand National Assembly Mehmet Ali Sahin, agreed on creation of Parliamentary Assembly of South-East European countries, whose temporary secretariat will be in Sofia, Bulgaria.
TurkPA secretary general Hasanov made a report on the role of international parliamentary organizations in development of democracy. The event brought together chairmen and deputies of parliaments of Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Albania, Croatia, Greece, Montenegro, Bosnia Herzegovina and Moldova, as well as representatives of the European Parliament, Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe, Regional Cooperation Council and PA BSEC.
