The Center for Strategic Studies under the Azerbaijan President hosted a roundtable meeting on the United States' foreign policy on June 10.

CEO of the Stratfor Global Intelligence Center George Friedman made a presentation at the event highlighting the priorities of the U.S. foreign policy, U.S.-Azerbaijan relationship, the current situation in the South Caucasus and Middle East regions and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
Friedman stressed Azerbaijan's strategic importance in the region, saying the U.S. must not forget this. Touching upon the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, he underlined the necessity of settlement of the dispute for the future of the region.
Friedman also said the conflict should be resolved peacefully and on the basis of the principles of international law. The roundtable meeting was attended by officials, MPs, diplomats and regional and international experts.
