TurkPA Secretary General meets European Parliament's official

Secretary general of the Parliamentary Assembly of Turkic-Speaking Countries (TurkPA) Ramil Hasanov met with director general of European Parliament's Office for Promotion of Parliamentary Democracy (OPPD) Dick Toornstra.

Hasanov gave a background of TurkPA's history, activity ad international relations.

The sides exchanged views on cooperation, TurkPA's participation in EP's international projects, and attraction of EP and OPPD to participate in TurkPA projects in the capacity of a guest, as well as organization of plenary sessions and transparent management of the budget.

Dick Toornstra, in turn, informed Hasanov on EP and OPPD, saying the organization is interested in cooperation and joint projects with Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. Member of Azerbaijan's permanent mission to the European Parliament Fakhraddin Ismayilov attended the meeting.
