Azerbaijan's labor and social protection minister meets UN Secretary-General's representative

Mammadov said in the wake of Armenia's policy of occupation and ethnic cleansing against Azerbaijan, 20 percent of the country's territories were occupied, and more than one million Azerbaijanis were driven out from their native lands.

He briefed Kalin on state programs carried out by the Azeri government to improve the living conditions of refugees and IDPs. Mammadov also highlighted the ministry's efforts to strengthen the social security of refugees and IDPs. Kalin praised what the Azerbaijani government had been doing to solve problems of refugees and IDPs.
