Two Azerbaijani opposition parties nominate their candidates for CEC membership

Two opposition parties in Azerbaijan have identified their candidates for two vacant seats in the Central Election Commission (CEC).
"Our party submitted to the Parliament the candidate for member of the CEC. The candidate is the chairman of the party's supreme assembly Mikail Rahimov," Elchin Mirzabeyli, deputy chairman of Unified Azerbaijan Popular Front Party.

"Our candidate for membership in the CEC is Ibrahim Mammadov," the chairman of Great Establishment Party, MP Fazil Mustafa said on May 19. According to him, prior to the official launching of the parliamentary elections, candidates for two vacant seats in the CEC should be appointed.
