Belgian ambassador to Azerbaijan visits south region of country

The Ambassador of Belgium to Azerbaijan Mr. Philippe Jottard has made a trip to the South region of Azerbaijan on May 17.

Upon his arrival, the Ambassador met Tofig Ibrahimov, Head of Lankaran Executive Power, who briefed the guest on the socio-economic, geographic value of the region as well as its tourism potential.

In the afternoon, the diplomat visited Lankaran's Historical Museum, Heydar Aliyev Museum and Lerik region. In the interview to journalists Mr. Philippe Jottard said that as a member of the European Union, Belgium supports the OSCE Minsk Group`s efforts towards the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh dispute.
