Prime Minister of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade has today met with Czech Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Kohout.

The Head of State noted Azerbaijan-Czech ties have seen a great progress over the past years. He expressed confidence that Czech delegation`s present visit and talks held would contribute to expansion of bilateral relations in the political, economic and humanitarian fields.

The embassy of Czech Republic recently opened in Baku will, according to Azerbaijani Premier, help intensify cooperation. Rasizade briefed the Czech delegation on the economic accomplishments of Azerbaijan and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

Foreign Minister Jan Kohout noted Azerbaijan is a strategic partner for Czechia. Czech Republic`s opening its diplomatic mission in Baku despite closing down embassies in six countries last year is seen as a sign of importance this country attaches to Azerbaijan.
Kohout pointed out his country is interested in developing relations with Azerbaijan in a variety of fields.
