Social-political situation in Azerbaijan is 'normal' on election eve

Preparations for elections are underway,” said Bahar Muradova, vice-speaker of the Parliament and member of Executive Board of the ruling New Azerbaijan Party.

She stated political parties were now considering their social base and potential. The vice-speaker said “there is now a favorable environment for it.”

Muradova also recommended that political parties do not look for support abroad but “among the people of Azerbaijan”. “Otherwise, they will inevitably fail to win,” she stressed.
