Azerbaijani FM receives member of German Bundestag

Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received the member of German Bundestag, deputy chairman of the German-Azerbaijani friendship group Viola von Cramon-Taubadel, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Azerbaijan reported.

Cramon-Taubadel appreciated the high-level relationship between Germany and Azerbaijan and took interest in the regional processes.

Mammadyarov informed the German guest about the details of current situation in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and said to solve the conflict soon, first of all Armenian invaders must be withdrawn from the Azerbaijani territories. Then all communications should be opened in the region, Azerbaijani internally displaced persons should return to their homeland and they should be provided with normal living conditions and finally the status of Nagorno Karabakh should be determined within the territorial integrity of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The minister emphasized that only these conditions of the settlement could make sustainable peace and security in the region possible.

Then the sides discussed the bilateral and regional issues of common interests.
