Azerbaijani President received Singapore's Foreign Minister

The Head of State said Azerbaijan and Singapore had mutual interest and good potential to develop bilateral relationship.

The President noted the Singaporean foreign minister`s visit creates good opportunity to discuss prospects for bilateral cooperation.

He expressed assurance that the visit would contribute to developing relations between the two countries.

George Yong-Boon Yeo, in turn, said he was the first Singaporean minister to visit Azerbaijan, and expressed his satisfaction with this fact.

He also handed over Singapore President Sellapan Ramanathan`s official letter to President Ilham Aliyev inviting him to pay a visit to Singapore.
