Municipal elections campaign ends in Azerbaijan

In accordance with the Electoral Code, the municipal elections campaign ended at 08.00 today – 24 hours before the voting.
Spokesman for the Central Election Commission (CEC) Azer Sariyev said promotion materials had already been removed from the campaign boards.

Sariyev said according to the Electoral Code, the campaign lasted for 28 days.  

Azerbaijan will hold municipal elections on Dec. 23.

As many as 31,861 candidates will contest 15,682 sits in 1,718 municipalities nationwide.
