EU to begin associative agreement talks with Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia

European Union General Affairs and External Relations Council intend to begin associative agreement talks with Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia.
The question is the EU Council conclusions on South Caucasian countries.

The documents said the Council welcomed directive project proposal about the associative agreement talks.

EU is planning to approve relevant directives to start the negotiations in near future.

In its conclusions, the EU Ministerial Council welcomed commitments taken by Azerbaijan, Armenia and Georgia to strengthen relations to the European Union.

EU General Affairs and External Relations Council hold a meeting in Brussels on Dec. 8.

It is planning to hold ministerial conference of the Eastern Partnership countries.

Foreign ministers of the EU and Eastern Partnership member countries will attend the 27+6 meeting.
