Ukrainian Foreign Ministry considers Azerbaijan's protest note against anti-Azerbaijan film

Ukrainian Foreign Ministry is considering the note presented by Azerbaijan as a protest against the short film on Nagorno-Karabakh aired by Ukraine-based Inter TV channel, spokesman for Ukrainian Foreign Ministry Valeri Jigun said.

He said the note was being studied.

“Ukraine’s official position on Nagorno-Karabakh conflict remains unchanged. Ukraine supports peaceful solution to the conflict within the framework of Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity and the international law,” he said.

Jigun said Ukraine’s supporting the resolution on “The occupied Azerbaijani territories” adopted in the UN on March 14, 2008, confirms the country’s position on the issue.

He said Inter is a private TV channel and does not reflect Ukraine’s official position.
