Ukrainian television presents Azerbaijan's occupied Shusha town as Armenian

07 December 2009 [14:26] - TODAY.AZ
Ukraine's Inter television has aired a biased report about Nagorno- Karabakh in a weekly program on Dec. 7.
The report about one of the rooted conflicts of the South Caucasus was based on disinformation, leader of the Azerbaijani Diaspora in Crimea Rahim Humbatov said.

The reporter presented Shusha as an Armenian town.

Humbatov reminded that Ukraine, which is strategic ally to Azerbaijan, officially recognizes territorial integrity of Azerbaijan and supports its fair position in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

“It is strangely that one of the Ukraine’s leading TV channels demonstrated non-professionalism and didn’t cover the position of Azerbaijani side according to the journalistic ethic. Azerbaijanis living in Ukraine are concerned over this fact," he said.

"Azerbaijani community has sent a letter of protest to the management of the television urging the Inter television to make and broadcast program covering Azerbaijan's position as well," he added.
