"Azerbaijan considers proposals to increase peacekeepers in Afghanistan."
"At the Brussels meeting of NATO Foreign Ministers the member and partner states were offered to increase number of the peacekeepers in Afghanistan. This issue is being assessed currently,” Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Araz Azimov said.

According to deputy minister, Azerbaijan wants stability to be established in Afghanistan, official Baku intends to offer assistance to Afghanistan in this field.

“Azerbaijan has offered assistance to Afghanistan in mine clearing, national security, defense, border protection, the opposite side approved the proposals. Azerbaijani specialists will train the security forces of Afghanistan in the above-mentioned fields,” he said.

Araz Azimov noted that Afghan sappers attend courses in Azerbaijan, such courses will continue.

“Such courses will be organized both in Azerbaijan and Afghanistan,” he said.
