Director of Centre for Strategic Studies under Azerbaijani President attends conference on America-Azerbaijan relations in U.S.

Director of the Centre for Strategic Studies under Azerbaijan’s President Elkhan Nuriyev attended the conference on America-Azerbaijan relations in the U.S.

Nuriyev made a speech at the regional conference entitled “Geopolitical state of the Caspian basin and America-Azerbaijan relations during Obama administration” organized by the U.S. Azeris Network (USAN) in Chicago-Kent College of Law of Illinois Institute of Technology.

Nuriyev informed the U.S. experts about the geopolitical realities in the Caspian basin, Azerbaijan’s decisive position as the main source of the energy resources in the region and a transit country, role in the global energy security, Armenia-Azerbaijan conflict and its solution, the importance of the strategic partnership between Baku and Washington, other security problems of the region.

Representatives of Azerbaijani Diaspora in the U.S., leading experts at the Chicago University and officials attended the forum.
