02 November 2009 [17:56] - TODAY.AZ
Azerbaijan National Democratic Party has been removed from opposition Union for Democracy, chairman of Azadlig Party Ahmad Oruj said.
He said the decision was passed in today’s meeting of the union’s Board of Chairmen.

Non-participation of the party in the events organized by the Union for Democracy and divergence between the sides caused this.

Chairman of Azerbaijan National Democratic Party Tufan Karim said the decision of the union is illogical and illegal.

He said decisions should be passed by consensus.

Karim also said they are one of the founders of the union and can leave the union voluntarily.

“We are studying the the decision. We will issue a statement about it soon,” he said.

Karim said he still considers the Azerbaijan National Democratic Party to be member of the member of the Union for Democracy.
