Int'l conference on Caspian Sea security underway in Baku

The delegations of Turkmenistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Russia and Azerbaijan are attending the conference.

Making a keynote speech at the conference Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Khalaf Khalafov said this was the first meeting after the meeting concerning the discussion of the draft agreement on mutual activity and cooperation held in Tehran in 2007.

Deputy foreign minister said a number of decisions were passed at the Tehran meeting and it was also decided to hold a conference on Caspian Sea security.

Khalafov said the progress was made regarding the Caspian Sea cooperation since then.
