New draft resolution on so-called "Armenian genocide" introduced to U.S. Senate

The bill was designed by democrat Robert Menendez and republican John Ensign.

The measure is similar to the resolution 252 submitted to the U.S. House of Representatives earlier this year.

The draft resolution introduced on Oct. 21 calls on the U.S. president to ensure that the foreign policy of the United States reflects appropriate understanding and sensitivity concerning issues related to human rights embodied in a number of American laws.
