He considers that the analysis of a great many of facts, allows to draw a conclusion that one of the most important goals of the working Russian leadership was attainment of a political control over Georgia and in case this goal is not reaches - its disintegration.
"Disintegration of Georgia seems to remain among the main goals. Georgia's split would mean appearance of independent and semi-dependent Abkhazia and South Ossetia, as well as Ajaria, Samegrelo, Javakheti, Imereti, Kvemo-Kartli region around Marneuli. It is clear that Javakkh and Marneuli are offered to Armenia and Azerbaijan respectively, Similar approach in 1938 was applied by Nazy Germany against Czechoslovakia", considers Illarionov.
