Activist of movement for rights of South Azerbaijanis undergoes trial in Iran

The Zanjan revolutionary court considered the case of activist of the movement for rights of South Azerbaijanis Safarali Hoeni, reports Day.Az with reference to Mediaforum.
As is noted, activist Safarali Hoeni is sentenced to 6 years in prison. Earlier Hoeni has been the editor-in-chief of Shahriyar newspaper at Zandjan Free University.

Hoeni was held in prison for 18 days charged with participation in the ceremonies on the Day of International Native Language. While being in prison, the activist was subjected to physical and psychological pressure.
