Azerbaijani CEC chairman meets his Russian counterpart

On October 15 Azerbaijan's CEC chairman Mazahir Panakhov met his Russian counterpart Vladimir Churov, who arrived in Baku to observe presidential elections, reports Day.Az with reference to the independent press center.

During the meeting Panakhov spoke of the process of preparations for elections, process of voting and so on. Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission of Russia, in turn, highly evaluated the process of preparations for elections and voters involvement.

They also discussed expansion of cooperation on the basis of a memorandum, signed between the Central Electoral Commissions of Azerbaijan and Russia in 2000, electoral practice and exchange of experience in the sphere of improvement of the legislative base and so on.
