Azerbaijani diaspora in USA supports course, established by Heydar Aliyev

Day.Az has received a statement from the Azerbaijani diaspora in the United States, which says:

Azerbaijani Society of America (ASA) and Azerbaijan-American Council hope for conduction of democratic and transparent elections. We are confident that elections, held in line with international standards, with participation of independent observers and NGOs, will be useful for the further development of Azerbaijan and development of strategic partnership between the United States and Azerbaijan.

ASA and AAC support the external policy of Azerbaijan, founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev and they positively assess the reforms, held in Azerbaijan in the economic, social and political spheres.

We hope that the current government of Azerbaijan will spare no efforts for holding free elections and a president, elected by the people, will continue the course for development of multi-sided relations between the United States and Azerbaijan.
