CEC accredits 1104 international observers for presidential elections

1104 international observers were accredited in the Central Electoral Commission of Azerbaijan as of October 9 of 2009, said CEC chairman Mazahir Panakhov at a press conference.
He noted that the Central Electoral Commission registered 2,632 local observers for presidential elections in the country.

"36,355 observers have been registered at the district constituencies. Of the said number of observers 19,752 represent political parties, 12,525 nongovernmental organizations and 4,078 are independent observers", said Panakhov.

The CEC chairman noted that representatives of over 20 international mass medias will observe the presidential elections.
