Isa Qambar meets with representatives of International Republicans Institute and European Union

Bashqan of Musavat party met yesterday with the program director of the International Republicans Institute on South Caucasus Micheal R.Drookman.

The meeting was held in the office of the Musavat party.

During the meeting the sides discussed prospects of comprehensive relations between Musavat and IRI, including cooperation of these organizations during the upcoming presidential elections.

The sides exchanged views about political situation, election situation, state of freedom of speech in Azerbaijan, electoral legislation and other problems.

The meeting was attended by head of the executive board of the Musavat party Arif Hajili and chief of the IRI Baku office Jake Johns.

On the same day Isa Qambar also met with Mrs. Claire Delessarde, political adviser of the EU General Secretariat.

According to Day.Az, during the meeting, held in the office of the party, Delessarde welcomed party's decision about participation in the presidential elections.

The sides discussed political situation in the country in the context of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the European Union and exchanged views about the election situation, state of freedom of speech, electoral legislation and other problems.
