05 May 2008 [09:51] - TODAY.AZ
The Open Society Party, functioning in Azerbaijan, may lose its office in the near future.
According to deputy chairman of the party Yaqub Abbasov, the term of the leasing contract expires on May 8.

He said they will try to agree with the office owner about prolonging the contract, but if agreement is not attained, they will move to another office.

"At present we have no definite place, where we should stay in case we lose the office. At the same time, if the party loses its office, we will demand from the government to provide it, as according to the law "On political parties", it is the government that should provide an office for a political structure", said Abbasov.

Asked how they will get office without being registered in the Ministry of Justice, Abbasov said the Ministry promised to respond within a month.

"Everything is alright with our documents for passing registration in the Ministry of Justice, therefore, no problems are expected to arise in this issue", he concluded.

It should be noted that the Baki-Zaman newspaper also locates in the office of Rasul Quliyev's party.
