Center of Democratic Elections offers to form election commissions from among parties, registered in Azerbaijan's Ministry of Justice

A regular session of the Center of Democratic Elections, functioning in Azerbaijan, was held today.
According to Day.Az, the Ahmed Oruj, chairman of Azadlyg party, represented in the association, said that during the session the sides discussed the social and political situation in the country, as well as the coming presidential elections.

The Center has prepared alterations to the Election Code of Azerbaijan. Under them, the center proposes to form election commission from among the parties, registered in the Ministry of Justice.

Moreover, the parties, represented in the center, consider it is necessary to stiffen measures for revealing falsifications in the elections.There is also a proposal according to which the the president should resign before the election campaign

The session participants also discussed alterations to the draft law "On freedom of assembly".

"We have also considered the recent rise in prices on bread. The parties consider that it is necessary to conduct this policy, which would meet the needs of all categories of population", said Oruj.

It should be noted that the center includes the National-Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Classical Popular Front Party, Great creation, Single Popular Front Party, Green Party, Party of Great Azerbaijan, Tekkamul, Azadlyg party and Open Society Party.
