Rasul Quliyev's party rejects participation in rallies of Azerbaijani opposition leaders

"Though the Open Society Party is represented in the Center of Democratic Elections, we do not intend to participate in the meeting, arranged by the bloc on May 12".
The due announcement was made by Yaqub Abbasov, deputy chairman of the party.

He said, the Open Society Party does not support the policy of rallies and does not intend to arrange mass protest actions.

"The political structure considers that in current conditions the actions of the leaders of the Azerbaijani opposition can not be successful. One of the main reasons is the passiveness of people.

Moreover, amendments have been introduced to the draft law "On freedom of assembly". In this case, there is no need for their conduction", the party deputy chairman said.

It should be noted that the Center of Democratic Elections plan to hold a meeting on May 12 and will be dedicated to the violation of ceasefire regime  by the Armenian armed forces.

It should be reminded that the Center includes the National -Democratic Party of Azerbaijan, Azerbaijan Classical Popular Front Party, Great Creation, Single Population Front Party, Azerbaijan Green Party, Great Azerbaijan Party, Tekkamul, Azadlyg Party and Open Society Party.
