EU special representative on South Caucasus to visit Azerbaijani occupied lands - UPDATED

According to PanARMENIAN.Net, a source from Peter Semneby's office reported that EU special representative on South Caucasus does not intend to visit Nagorno Karabakh in mid May.

"We know that Azerbaijani mass medias have spread such information, which is not true, however", said the source.

EU special representative on South Caucasus Peter Semneby plans to visit Nagorno Karabakh together with Nizami Bahmanov, chairman of the public association "Azerbaijani community of Nagorno Karabakh", in mid May.

According to diplomatic sources, the preparations for the visit are currently underway.

It should be noted that this visit pursues the goal of restoring trust between Azerbaijani and Armenian communities of Nagorno Karabakh.

P.Semneby proposed the initiative in summer of the last year and expressed wish to execute it in September. Yet the visit failed by some definite reasons.
