Freedom House places Azerbaijan among countries with no freedom of mass media

The international human rights organization Freedom House has released an annual report on freedom of mass media in the world.
Day.Az reports with reference to the Azadlyg radio that the report covers 195 countries.

The organization included Azerbaijan to the list of countries, where there is no freedom of mass media and the report says that Azerbaijan lacks any progress in this sphere. Thus, according to the authors, Azerbaijan is ranking 168th in the world.

On the whole, the list of countries with restricted freedom of media, includes 64 countries. According to the authors of the report, mass medias are free in 72 countries and partially free in 59 countries.

Armenia is also among the countries with restricted freedom of mass media taking 144th place and Georgia is among the countries with partially free medias.
