The work group under the Committee for protection of freedom of speech condemns the PR-campaign initiated against leader of Azerbaijan Popular Front Party Ali Kerimli and Azadlyg opposition daily correspondent Agil Halil.

The committee members consider that film "Iflas" (Collapse), demonstrated on Lider TV channel on April 22, is a brutal violation of local and international norms and endanger the moral and ethical values of people, as said in the announcement of the committee press secretariat, Novosti-Azerbaijan reports.

The press release notes that the film abuses A.Kerimli and other prominent representatives of the opposition, mentioned in the film.

The work group decided to send an official letter to the National Council of Television and Radio Broadcasting and also inform international organizations about the events.

On May 2, the representatives of the organization will visit the graves of famous Azerbaijani reporters Najaf Najafov and Elmar Huseynov and on May 3 the imprisoned reporters.
