Parliament of Azerbaijan sums up autumn session

The first vice speaker Ziyafet Askerov reporting on the results announced that 15 plenary sessions which adopted 132 laws and resolutions including 1 constitutional law were held during the autumn session.

Z.Askerov noted that during the autumn session the leadership and members of the parliament visited the United States, Great Britain, Turkey, Russia, Germany, Italy, Holland, France, Switzerland, Iceland, Greece, Serbia, Latvia, Slovakia, Moldova, Iran, Phillipines, Israel and Georgia.

Azerbaijani parliament members monitored presidential elections in Uzbekistan and parliamentary elections in Russia.

During the autumn session the parliament received presidents of Turkey and Slovakia, Chairman of the National Council of Switzerland, chairman of the Islamic Council of Iran, deputies of German Bundestag, deputies of the US state of California, chairman on international affairs of the Lithuanian Seym, chairman of the group of friendship of the Egyptian parliament and others.
