Al-Qaeda plot against Erdogan unveiled

Turkish authorities made sudden raids on suspected Al Qaeda groups in six cities, detaining 36.

Special operation in Konya exposed a conspiracy organized against Turkish Prime Minister Recap Tayyip Erdogan, the APA reports.

A photo, which was found in one of the seized computers, shows Erdogan and US President George Bush together. In photo, an arrow pointing to Erdogan reads "authority exceeders to see a limit."

It was found that the seized special cell-phones pick up and bug talks of Erdogan's bodyguards. A dossier of the findings was submitted to the premier. Raids found terrorists plotting to blow up nuclear substances producing plant in the settlement of Gebze, some secret footages were taken from the cells. The group plotted to attack the plant by trucks carrying explosives and chemical-toxic fertilizer.

Police seized some CDs coated with a special material that would cause it to explode when inserted into a computer.
