19 September 2006 [12:38] - TODAY.AZ
Nasir Primov, a leader of separatist Lezghin organization Sadval, who was arrested with the charges of the clash between protesters and special forces in Dogguzpara on April 25 this year and arrested, has been released.

Dagestan Prosecutor's Office Investigation Department said his release does not mean he is innocent. "The court will give a legal assessment of the incident in Dogguzpara. Primov's innocence can be proved in the court only."

According to APA, the incident happened in Usukhchay, Dogguzpara region densely populated by Lezghins in Dagestan on April 25, 2006 between protesters and special forces. The protesters demanded Usukhchay executive power chief Kerimkhan Abbasov's resignation and blocked highway. 43 protesters were injured and Murad Nagmetov died. 12 police officers were injured and one was deadly wounded. Special Forces arrested 74 protesters. They arrested 'Sadval' leader Nasir Primov and his brother, Meherremkend region Public Social Defense Office Chief Niyaz Primov.

Dagestan media says Primov is also the head of racket group robbing the citizens in Yaraggazmalar border checkpoint. He is said to run restaurant, hotel and armed group.

Sadval is one of the two nationalist organisations of Lezghins (national minority living in the north of Azerbaijan and south of Russia), created in post-reformation period. In difference with another Lezghin nationalist organisation Samur, the goal of which creation of an autonomous republic in the territories of Azerbaijan and Russia, Sadval is the organiser of a number of terrorist acts in the territory of Azerbaijan.

It must be noted that the separatist Lezghin organization Sadval was registered with the Russian Federation's Justice Ministry in Moscow. It appeared that registration of Sadval as an international organization, was initiated by the aid of the then president, politologist Georgi Sattarov and one of the authors of the security conception for the country Andranik Migranian.
