Mahmudlu stated that, the only reason why he signed the final protocol is that the PFPA chairman Ali Karimli made decision to hold a sit-in during the November 26 rally of the opposition: "I do not aim in justifying myself at this conference. Simply, I want to say that the opposition leaders and newspapers which make allegations against me were proud of me and considered me a symbol for my activities in the CEC once. What is going on now? Those who accuse me disappeared during the 2003 presidential elections while I had to face dangers here. They harm themselves by accusing me. Ali Karimli led the innocent children to be beaten with truncheons of police and dogs for his own interests and to cast a shadow on the activity of Musavat. It is not acceptable to create danger for the lives of infants for the sake of political interests. Therefore, I would sign the protocol if the same situation occurred. I didn’t want to share the responsibility for such results of their activities by having signed the document. Those who make allegations against me are choosing dishonorable ways".
"I have talked to Vurgun Ayyub and told him to explain Rauf Arifoglu to refrain such ways. Ali Karimli says I have taken bribe. Ali Karimli, who told you that I have taken bribe? Perhaps, you also participated in these processes. I do not want to touch on some issues. I want to say that Ali Karimli does this for the purpose of damaging the image of Musavat Party. And Musvat intends to insure itself by accusing me. Let them solve their own problems and not to involve me in these processes," said Mahmudlu.
Mahmudlu stated that the reason of such campaign held by Rauf Arifoglu and Arif Hajili against him is because they have not been elected as parliament members: "Namely Rauf Arifoglu makes such allegations not Musavat Party, because I did not manage him to be elected as a deputy. I could not possibly be busy with the problems of Rauf Arifoglu and Arif Hajili, putting aside all my work. They phoned my after each session for many times, asking me if there were any good news. No one can be proud of their holding successful campaign and succeeded in gaining voices. If it was so I wonder why only 10 thousand voters participated in the voting in the constituency having 40 thousand voters?"
Arzukhan Alizade also stated that they did not commit a crime by signing the protocol. He noted that, they submitted their special protocol alongside with the final protocol on the results of the elections.
Deputy leader of Musavat Rauf Arifoglu denied the allegations made by Mahmudlu. He told APA that he does not participate in the campaign against Vidadi Mahmudlu, on the contrary he prevented publishing of some articles against him in the newspaper: "Vidadi Mahmudlu has nothing to do with me not being elected to the parliament". Commenting on the further attitude of his newspaper towards Mahmudlu, R.Arifoglu said that "everything is quite clear now".
A.Hajili refused to express his opinion on the allegations made by Mahmudlu in his statement to APA:"I do not care what betrayers tell about me".
