Lump sum payment to be provided to heirs of 51 more martyrs

A lump sum payment in the amount of AZN 11,000 ($6,470), will be provided for 75 heirs of 51 more martyrs, Ministry of Labor and Social Protection reported on July 14.

According to the statement, commission of the ministry adopted a decision on this matter, which includes servicemen and law enforcement officers who died for the territorial integrity of Azerbaijan before August 2, 1997, and were declared missing as a result of military operations.

Relevant measures are being taken to transfer lump-sum payments to the bank accounts of these heirs in the coming days.

It should be noted that, in total, the heirs of 12,281 martyrs, including military and law enforcement personnel, who died for the country's territorial integrity before August 2, 1997 and were reported missing in connection with military operations are entitled to a lump sum payment.

Earlier, it was reported that over 18,000 heirs of more than 12,000 martyrs had been provided with a lump-sum payment.

Thus, the lump-sum payment program for martyrs' heirs has already been implemented by 99 percent.
