Ambassador of France visited southern region

The extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador of France in Azerbaijan Rolan Blatman and the counselor on collaboration and culture of the embassy Iv Bertran visited the southern region.
According to the information of the southern bureau of APA, the French diplomats firstly visited Lenkeran city and met with the head of the executive power of the city Zeynal Nahdaliyev. He informed the ambassador of France about the natural climate and geographical situation of the region, employment of the population, social infrastructure and spoke about the works realized in the frame of the “State Program on social-economic development of the regions”.

The ambassador Rolan Blatman said that the purpose of his first visit to the region was to be acquainted with the potential of tourism and agriculture of the region. He stressed that he would deliver advices about the opportunities of tourism and agriculture of Lenkeran to the French companies to participate in the business forum of the businessmen of Azerbaijan and France to be held on June 23.

Then the French diplomats visited the Lenkeran State University (LSU) and discussed the collaboration perspective of LSU and Strasbourg University with the rector of the university, professor Asaf Isgandarov.

The ambassador rewarded the teacher of the Lankaran State University, professor Kamal Dadashov who taught the French language in Azerbaijan for 40 years with the “Academic palma” premium of France in the meeting.
