Conditions for youth in Azerbaijan comparable with European ones

Today, Azerbaijan’s state youth policy is at a new qualitative stage, executive director of the Azerbaijan Youth Foundation, Farid Jafarov, said.

Jafarov made the remarks at a meeting in Baku on Oct. 29 within the 8th Azerbaijani Youth Forum "Heirs of Independence is the Future of Azerbaijan".

He said that the conditions created by Azerbaijan for young people are at a level comparable with European countries.

"After the meeting of the Azerbaijani president with young people in 2011, the Youth Foundation was established in accordance with the desire of young people,” Jafarov said. “Over the seven years of activity, the Foundation has financed about 4,000 projects from young people and youth organizations, supported participation of hundreds of young people in international events."

He stressed that in March 2018, taking into account modern challenges, as well as the wishes of young people, the president greatly changed the direction of the activity of the Youth Foundation to create conditions for more effective youth activity in accordance with the requirements of time.
