President Aliyev inaugurates multi-level road junction, passage to Heydar Aliyev Avenue [UPDATE]

President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev has attended the opening of a multi-level road junction and a passage from the Baku Olympic Stadium to Heydar Aliyev Avenue.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Azerbaijan Highway State Agency Saleh Mammadov informed the head of state of the technical indicators of the project. A 496m-long tunnel was built as part of the project. The tunnel’s width is 10 meters. The project also saw the construction of a bridge.

The head of state was told that a section of the road from Sabunchu junction to Boyuk Shor junction was reconstructed as part of the project. The road is 2.1km in length, while its width varies between 26-36 meters. The project will contribute to reducing traffic congestion in this part of the city.
