Heydar Aliyev one of greatest leaders of Turkic world, says ambassador

Heydar Aliyev is one of the greatest leaders of the Turkic world, Turkish ambassador to Azerbaijan Erkan Ozoral told reporters on December 12.

The diplomat stressed that national leader Heydar Aliyev began to build the future of the country when Azerbaijan was still part of the USSR.

In the most difficult time, after Azerbaijan gained independence, Aliyev headed the country, Ozoral said.

December 12 marks the 14th anniversary of the death world-renowned politician and national leader of the Azerbaijani people.
