Another plenary session features discussion on empowering youth to prevent violent extremism through education

Organized by United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) a plenary session "Empowering youth to prevent violent extremism through education" has been held as part of the 4th World Forum on Intercultural Dialogue.


The event was moderated by Maysoun Chehab, UNESCO Beirut Basic Education and Intercultural Dialogue Programme Officer.


Other speaker at the event included Fariz Ismayilzade, Vice Rector of External, Government and Student Affairs, ADA University, Gamal Sheha, Chairman of the Committee of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research at Representatives Council in Egypt, Member of Parliament, Fadi Yarak, Director General for Education in the Lebanese Ministry of Education and Higher Education, Hassan Nadhem, UNESCO Chair for Inter-religious Dialogue in Iraq.
