Nakhchivan Supreme Assembly hosts meeting on activities of mass media

A meeting on "Activities of mass media of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic and the tasks ahead" has been held at the Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic.

In his opening remarks, chairman of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic Vasif Talibov highlighted the wide opportunities of the modern media. Vasif Talibov thanked the employees of mass media who adequately fulfill their civic duty.

Addressing the event, chairman of the Nakhchivan State Committee for Television and Radio-Broadcasting Sahil Tahirli hailed the recent works done to strengthen the material and technical base of the Nakhchivan Television and Radio.

Dean of the Faculty of History and Philology of Nakhchivan State University Rasul Baghirov noted that training of journalists with higher education occupies a particular place in the development of mass media in the Autonomous Republic.

Chairman of the Supreme Assembly Vasif Talibov wished the representatives of mass media success in the implementation of goals set before.

The Supreme Assembly of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic is in charge of the implementation of these tasks.
