Turkish President phoned President Ilham Aliyev

On August 26, President of the Republic of Turkey Abdullah Gul made a telephone call to President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev.

Abdullah Gul expressed satisfaction with the successful development of friendly and fraternal relations between Turkey and Azerbaijan on all fronts during his presidential tenure, and emphasized the special role of personal friendly ties with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev in the development of these bonds.

President Aliyev thanked Abdullah Gul for warm words, stressed his contribution to the strengthening of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey, which were based on strategic partnership, and expressed confidence that bilateral ties between the two countries would continue to rapidly develop.
