Mission by Russian CEC to partake elections in Azerbaijan

Russian CEC will send observers to presidential elections in Azerbaijan, which will be held on October 9, CEC secretary Nikolai Konkin told the journalists, ITAR-TASS reported.

"2 groups will be send there," he said, explaining that "one group will inculde CEC members, and the other will be formed by the heads of the electoral commissions of some subjects (RF)."

The presidential elections in Azerbaijan are scheduled for October 9.

The previous presidential elections were held on October 15, 2008.
