/AzerNews/Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Azerbaijan with an official visit on August 13.
The honour guard was drawn up in honor of the Russian President at the Heydar Aliyev International Airport decorated with state flags of both countries.
President Putin was met at the airport by First Deputy Prime Minister, Co-Chairman of the Azerbaijan-Russia Intergovernmental Economic Commission Yaqub Eyyubov and other officials of the country.
During the visit, Putin will meet with President Ilham Aliyev. A full range of bilateral issues are planned to be discussed during the talks.
The presidents will touch upon the key issues of the international and regional agenda, the legal regime of the Caspian Sea, as well as the settlement of the Armenia-Azerbaijan Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
A package of five or six bilateral documents, including the Comprehensive Plan on Cooperation between the Ministries of Emergency Situations of Russia and Azerbaijan, will be signed at the end of the upcoming talks. In addition, the agreements in the fields of transport and energy may be signed.
